Every character can make use of magical spells. There are many skills related to magic, the principal one being Spellcasting. Spellcasting determines the number of Magic Points available; it also helps to cast any spell, though less so than schools associated with a spell. Next, there are several general magical schools (Conjuration, Hexes, Summoning, Necromancy, Forgecraft, Translocation and Alchemy) as well as several elemental schools (Fire, Ice, Air and Earth). A particular spell can belong to up to three schools. Being skilled in a spell's schools improves the casting chance and the power of that spell. Spells are stored in books, which you will occasionally find in the -;jXdungeon. Every character can make use of magical spells. There are many skills related to magic, the principal one being Spellcasting. Spellcasting determines the number of Magic Points available; it also helps to cast any spell, though less so than schools associated with a spell. Next, there are several general magical schools (Conjuration, Hexes, Summoning, Necromancy, Forgecraft, Translocation and Alchemy) as well as several elemental schools (Fire, Ice, Air and Earth). A particular spell can belong to up to three schools. Being skilled in a spell's schools improves the casting chance and the power of that spell. ;ju Spells are stored in books, which you will occasionally find in the dungeon. Once you have picked up a book and added its contents to your spell library, you can memorise a spell using the 'M' command.
